This fun set of colors is made from Border Leicester and Montadale fleeces, each dyed with madder root (orange), indigo (dark blue), cochineal (pink), and indigo and osage chips (green). I have spun these up myself in a sample to give you a start on ideas.
My favorite is to comb the fleeces together but the fleeces card up nicely too. Border Leicester is a long wool, nice and sturdy and easy to spin. Montedale has a shorter staple and tighter curls. Together they bring out the best in each other. Of course you can try your own techniques to spin these luscious locks.
