This 6-set is made from turmeric, madder root, and pokeberry bushes. It is a slightly different version of the Summerset colors I make for the worsted weight yarns. The solid yellow is from turmeric. The 3 shades of orange are from madder root and turmeric. Lastly, the reds are from pokeberries. It will last for years and years if you store it away from direct light.
I like this fingering yarn and have knit with it before. It’s a soft sturdy wool that holds up well over time. Superwash yarns do tend to dye a bit darker than other yarns, something I am considering for the future when I’m ready to add a full line of fingering yarn.
